FAQ

1. What is a zine/what is this zine about?

A zine is an independently published maga“zine” about a topic/theme of one’s choice. This zine will be a collection of fanworks for “Noremma”, which is the ship term for Norman and Emma, who are characters from The Promised Neverland written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu.

2. What kind of content will be presented in this zine?

Zine content will be determined through prompts, and contributors will submit artwork or short stories based on selected prompts.

9/20 Update: Selected prompts were Post-canon, Dumb Couple Things, and School AU.

Note: NSFW prompts/content are not allowed.

3. How can I apply to be a contributor?

You can apply to be a contributor through the official participant application, which will be posted publicly on our Twitter and Tumblr pages.

You must be 13 years old and above to apply as a contributor for the zine.

5. Is this zine for profit?

6. What is the payment method for purchasing the zine?

itch.io (our publishing site) only accepts payments through Paypal. You may use the "Checkout as Guest" option to make a payment without having to create a Paypal account.

Digital. Considering the pandemic and the overall cost and difficulty of international shipping, this first zine will be digital.

8. How many artists/writers will be accepted?

Yes. Digital merchandise are sold with the zine. More details may be found at the zine shop on itch.io.

12. If selected, will I be able to share previews on my social media?

Please hold off on sharing previews on social media during the zine creation period! Previews will be included with your artist features to promote the zine. Examples of these may be found on our Twitter and Tumblr pages.

13. What are “Artist Features”?

We will shed a spotlight on you as a zine contributor during the sales period to promote you, your work, and the zine itself. This will include your social media handle (whichever platform you prefer) as well as a preview of your zine contribution. This feature will apply to both artists and writers!

14. Will contributors be compensated for their work?

Yes. The base compensation price is $5, and could go higher depending on the success of sales. Contributors will also be given a free copy of the zine and merchandise.

15. How will contributors receive compensation?

Paypal is the primary method of delivering compensation, so we recommend that contributors create a Paypal if they are able. However, please take note that contributors who are 18 below may not receive the compensation unless they have a valid Paypal account under their legal guardian’s name.

If Paypal is not a viable method of compensation for you, then you may approach the staff once you are accepted as an official contributor and we may personally discuss alternative compensation methods.
